Job Summary: Safely and efficiently loads furniture into truck, drives truck to specified destination, and unloads furniture by performing the following duties. Various warehouse duties will be assigned as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drives truck to loading point and consults customer on furniture to be moved.

Gives directions to helpers in moving articles to truck.

Wraps furniture with blankets to prevent damage.

Loads truck, distributing weight evenly, forming compact load, and utilizing space.

Drives truck to destination and unloads cargo.

Obtains customers signature.

Route daily delivers.

Follow directions from the delivery manager.

Inspect all products prior to loading on truck.

Carefully load truck to ensure safe, damage-free delivery.

Load truck in accordance to delivery route.

Check fluids and equipment condition of delivery truck daily.

Make sure proper equipment, including cleaning and touch-up supplies, are on truck daily.

Make sure proper forms are in the delivery truck including, delivery tickets, service orders, accident reports, etc.

Drive in a safe and courteous manner.

Greet clients politely and pleasantly.

Place and install product professionally.

Call warehouse after each stop and report any difficulties to warehouse manager.

Work to achieve customer satisfaction on all job sites.

Fill out paperwork daily, including delivery ticket, punch lists, time cards, etc.

Clean out truck at end of the work day.

Operate company vehicles safely. Responsible for vehicle cleanliness.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Class E license required to drive.
