Assistant Project Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will have a degree or certificate in technology or construction related field. Having an understanding of commercial construction methods required to support the installation of all types of commercial audiovisual solutions is a plus. Our Assistant Project Manager will aid our Project Manager (PM) and help with tasks directed by the Project Manager.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stage equipment for delivery to job sites
  • Delivery of equipment to job sites
  • Aid with shipping and receiving of product
  • Attend construction meetings as directed by PM
  • Review infrastructure and line drawings for accuracy
  • Test equipment for projects
  • Build equipment racks when trained
  • Prepare daily/weekly project status reports and keep management, clients, and others informed as directed by PM
  • Coordinate change orders
  • Travel to the customer site(s) for construction meetings when needed
  • Pooled service/QAP responsibilities as directed by the Director of Operations and Service Coordinator. This includes pro-active and reactive service calls once trained
  • Required to perform all job functions in a safe manner, according to Color Art Technology Safety policies
  • Represent the Color Art Companies in a professional manner

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Assist with job costing all internal resources assigned to a project
  • Assist with organizing a project schedule and budgeting processes
  • Problem-solve and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, working effectively under pressure and against deadlines
  • Detail oriented, and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, detail oriented, strong follow-up skills a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Excellent communication skills in all forms, with ability to convey information professionally and accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

  • Reports to the Director of Operations
  • Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
  • Closely coordinates company PM involvement with customer management.
  • Works closely with PM's Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year college degree or certificate from an accredited institution
  • PC proficiency
  • CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, CCNA a plus


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position requires some travel
  • All prospective employees must pass a background check and drug screening
